Went on anti-inflammatories for a problem
And my Tennis Elbow is cured !

TINNITUS
Ringing , and noises in the ears
Have had this for many years , probably a legacy of loud noises from listening to live bands in confined nightclubs
The medicos say there is no known cure

When I first got it it fair dinkum almost drove me to the brink
Could not sleep , very stressful
I was more or less told to learn to cope with the condition , as I have
I still have it , as loud as ever , but it does not bother me much at all

Has anyone got a cure or an alleviation , excluding beer, of this annoying condition ?

If beers don't assist perhaps some whiskey

Beer isn't the sole cause of gout.
My neighbor drinks a fair bit.
Suffered gout
The doc said it wasnt caused from alcohol to which he was shocked

The source of gout is purine based proteins which are broken down to Uric Acid during metabolism in humans and a few other species that cannot break down Uric Acid.*

There are more purines in food products that use offal (liver, kidney, and other internal organs), but red meat is also more rich in them than white meat.

The main contribution from alcohol is that the yeast used in producing beer is a rich source of purines.
Other alcohol can contribute to some extent by inducing diuresis and dehydration, increasing your blood Uric Acid concentration temporarily, and encouraging the stuff to crystallise out in your joints (and kidneys) during bouts of dehydration.

*For example dogs metabolise Uric Acid into Allantoin which makes their urine stink more.
However, Dalmatians can't do this and are a dog breed at risk of gout or Uric Acid kidney stones just like humans.
