Not weighing in ( I think it can prove to be a negative - Oh, I lost 2kg last week better get on the beers ) but I'm a notch in on the belt and my "old work strides" are back in circulation.

i think weighing in can be a positive to stay motivation, with the realisation that weight will vary a fraction daily

If it works for you keep it up.

An old medical maxim is what you weigh does not matter but what your weight consists of does.

I can believe that.

Mines from a sense of guilt that weighs heavily on me.

so this week I added on 400g. however that can be attributed to a couple of things. turning fat into muscle  maybe....and not being able to get out and go for some walks after work.

but still tracking nicely, slow and steady wins the race. overall feel better, the knees are enjoying it at the moment :D

this is the end of the 4th week and it seems that week 1 was a loss, week 2 was steady/plateau and then a loss in week 3 and then another steady/plateu in week 4. so hopefully that pattern continues and this week will result in a loss.

Sustained weight loss is often best achieved by losing it the same way you gain it, slowly.

Closing in on the first 10kg loss with a few days left of week 5.
Haven't been able to get as many walks in as I'd have liked

end of another week, and another win vs the scales, with 1/2kilo dropping off.
not the best week again for getting any walks/exercise in with work being ridiculously busy and a few hot days.
then had a couple of beers with the BIL last night.

but we are still tracking in the right direction :D

Well the weather is in your favor this week.

A half a kilo a week is a realistic and achievable goal. Unless you plan to give up beer forever then it is fine to a few every now and then.

Yeah, the plan is to really knuckle down over the next few months. Once we get down to a level where I'm happy, then it will be just maintaining it.
Certainly won't be giving up all of lifes luxuries, otherwise, whats the point!!

Ive been committing to an hour a day on the bike, just trying to get some consistency and try to force the body to comply. Last week, in the heat, I did 27kms each day, mostly around lunch time as it was the only time I could do it, by Thursday and Friday my legs were very sore and I slowed down significantly but I pushed thru and felt fantastic on the weekend where I gave the body a break. Have been out Monday and yesterday, today is going to be an issue as Im in the office and just got told the FIL is coming over for dinner  I might have to give today a miss and do an hour and a half on Thursday and Friday. Going away next week but will keep up the hour a day via walking/swimming.

Im working my away from carbs when possible and not getting on the scales for a while, going to judge my progress by how I feel within myself.

Further update.
So last few weekends have seen the homebrew get a small tasting, all in moderation...I think...
Work is fairly busy, which has probably helped by keeping me on my feet

But 10 weeks done.
11.2kg goneski.

I've given up Muffins, Croissants, and Potato Crisps, in favour of Lite an Easy and Apples and Oranges and I've lost 7kg in the last month, helped along a bit by a nasty bout of Gastro I had while in Brisbane two weeks ago that knocked 3kg off me in 3 days.

April 4th - now down to 87.2Kg from 96.4Kg back about 6 weeks ago.

Weight Loss Attempt - 3,417

A month or so ago I declared "I am going off beer following Anzac Day, until Footy Finals...I am a dickhead, seriously who am I kidding?

About 6 or 7 years ago I had a winter off beer, kept drinking wine, and lost some weight. So I thought I would give it a crack again this winter.

Lasted 4 days, knocked a few back last night after a stressful day at work. I have very little discipline.

I have joined a local gym, and have been twice this week already, and will go again tonight, so there is that.

Friday Weigh In
