24kms in 7 days and getting the back, chest, upper body mobile. Feeling good.

4:45am alarm for 5am in the gym and out at 6. Getting 4kms done in 42-44 minutes and 2 or 3 exercises 4 x 12 reps.

Doing my first boxing class on Saturday morning. :-S

First boxing class report :

Absolutely f*cked.

Enjoyed the session, but, as expected bit off more than I could chew ( no pun ) and ended up gassed about 15 minutes into the 45 minute session. Limped my sorry arse through the last 30 minutes.

Much change to diet or beer intake to match the exercise?

Apparently I need to drop 15kg this year

I love beer, I mean, I really love beer and there's simply no way I'm giving that up. I cut bread out probably 18 months ago, heart burn was 30 minutes behind it. I still have the Friday night pizza or fish and chips, something to look forward too. My diet (other than beer) was never my problem. Man Shakes for breakfast, wraps or salads for lunch, I don't each much "shit".

I sit all day, I mean, all day. Other than site or customer visits I am in my chair from 8-4/430 with coffee, water or piss breaks the only time I get up.

All I've done is add an hour of exercise 4-5 times a week ( either walking or walking + light weights - I have upped the weights a bit this week ) to my routine and feel a hell of a lot better for it. I now look forward to putting the shoes on and hitting the pavement.

It's only a start, I've got a long way to go but I've started slowly, building each week and making the exercise part of my routine. I'll get there.

Get on the rower Boon, cardio and strength in the one workout. You will look like Stephen Tingay in 3 months.

Last week was stymied by a lergy, I stayed away from the gym while the cough sounded like an old labrador who smoked a pack a day.

Did only 2 walks, both 3kms and the lergy kicked my arse on both. Flat as a tack and couldn't get the air in / out.

First morning back at the gym this morning and struggled through 4kms and chest day. The routine got broken but I'm hell bent on getting it back on track this week.

Another thread got me thinking, how you tracking @booney, or is it much harder when you have regular footy to go to which for most of us involves a fair few drinks.

For the first time on 30 years Ive joined a gym  been enjoying it so far, my legs have always been OK due to my bike riding however fair to say the waist up hasn't had much attention over the last decade

So far have been hitting the rowing machine, stair master and machines that I don't know the names of but work the arms and chest, only been going a week but unreal how well it makes you feel physically and mentally.

As its all new to me any hints and tips are appreciated!

Had a week off last week and put 2kg back on. The cold dark mornings are making 4:45am alarm a bit tougher.

Back into it this week, still 4kg down from when I started.

Neither of us going to be sculpting mate so my suggestion would be to "push" weights one day and "pull" weights the next. That's how I alternate between exercises.

Chest, shoulders, triceps the push.
Lats, sit down row, biceps the pull.

I do one day of each per week, the third visit is just cardio.

I’m back on the weight loss bandwagon too.

Following a blood test, results were…. Loose weight, and cut back on the grog. I have 3 months before the next blood test, and if I’ve not made any improvements the Doc is saying she will want to change my meds….. not really sure what that actually means. It doesn’t sound good though.

Further, had news of an ex colleague. Retired at 63. Dead at 65. **** that.

Back into the gym Anzac Day. Trying to get in 3 times a week. But twice a week is more realistic.

Cut back the beers (boo) and switched to Carlton Dry. Can’t hurt.

So I’ve worked off 2 kg’s so far. Another 10 to go.

Sticking to my new routine. Managed an extra gym session this week.

Friday weigh in 110.9KG, so 2.5 KG off in about 3 weeks.

First goal is 107, then shoot for 105.

It would be great to get under the ton, once again.

Good luck and Ditto to Booney, Jimster and the Dutchman

Got 2 kgs off since getting back from my brothers 50th.

Goal under 100 by end of June below 95 end of September. -0 would prefer to be 90kg

No snacking smaller potions, cut back on booze and try and hit the 100% activity level on my Polar HRM - generally 1hr of exercise a day of any type - 40 min bike ride to work gets me to 67%.
