Vintage Aussie Cookbook

I know some of you like to cook, even if you don't admit to it, and I was just hunting down some recipes online for myself when I found this website.

They've put the recipes from vintage cookbooks online and as I trawled the index I noticed an Aussie one from 1893. Thought it might be of interest to some of you or those in your house that do cook...

The Art of Living in Australia (1893)

lol...amazing how tastes have changed but I think I'd rather eat that than this from The Ideal Bartender (1917)

Bombay Cocktail
Ingredients
* 1/2 pony olive oil
* 1/2 pony vinegar
* 1/2 pony Worcestershire sauce
* 1 ice cold egg
Instructions
Use a claret glass. Add olive oil, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce. Break egg into glass. Add salt and Spanish paprica and serve.

:-& similar to a Prairie Oyster but with olive oil :shock:

Then again I've found a 1918 recipe for Boston Baked Beans that I want to try.
