I have had quite a few incidents over the years with cabbies - all races, all ages. I still catch cabs - Mr MK not really comfortable with this but there's not a lot you can do. And 98% of the time, everything's fine. When it's not, it's very bad. Female, alone in a cab with a weirdo - you have to exit pretty quick, hopefully in a crowded place.

Agree with that last two comments.

I don't know of any friends directly who have been assaulted or mistreated by Cab Drivers, but don't believe it wouldn't happen, just as it does in any workplace or even just general public from time to time, and agree that it would be the minority of drivers committing an offence.

Have definitely seen first hand however, Cabbies putting up with drunken idiots so as per above it goes both ways.

BTW, I also get my missus to text me the number of the Cab etc if ever she catches one alone, which isn't very often.

Exactly, it happens more that way than the other way but some people only tend to see one side if the media sensationalise it, I would have thought people would have learnt after Frontline but alas no go.
