We had a work function at Osteria de Mesa, it's a Spanish bistro bar. Wasn't so much of a sit down meal, just a steady stream of pizza's and side dishes throughout the night, food was sensational, vast variety of drinks and they eyes got a fair workout.

Seven Stars Hotel, Angas St, City.

Really nice staff, very helpful and friendly. I had my 21st there and they made every accommodation possible. Nice food and decent beers on tap.

Also, for a small show, the Atrium Bar at the Astor is fairly good.

The Regal Park Motor Inn on Barton Terrace East in North Adelaide has a cute little restaurant with a really good chef. Unrestricted onsite parking and a manager who will negotiate prices and menus. We have had several functions there. After dinner you can leave your cars there and piss off down O'Connell Street for beers or coffee's etc.

Haven't been to these places for a while so unsure how they do things these days, but what about
The Historian? It's very central in the CBD.
The Griffin's Head?
The Kings Head (near Trims)?

For a non-pub place, how about Saldechin (KW St)? (check out their website).
