Treasure Trove in your backyard?

Quite an amazing find in Western Australia. There have been precedents like this in the United Kingdom, will be interesting to see what happens:

wow...lucky bugger.

Yeh Treasure Trove is the term for it over here. I think now anything found automatically belongs to the Crown and after being evaluated by a panel of experts eg British Museum the finder and...landowner if different...share a reward. I believe it can be a long and complicated process especially if the finder/landowner dispute it's worth etc.
