Agreed, this country should never forget what many amazing men (& boys) and women did for this country by making the ultimate sacrifice.

They shall grow not old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning
We will remember them.

Have attended the dawn service at Barmera this morning.
Around 600 people there. Really lovely ceremony.

I go to a service every year.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Went to the Dawn Service in Adelaide. It was great as always. The Aboriginal Servicemen were given special recognition, and deservedly so.

Another highlight was the pre-ANZAC DAY-match buildup, when TL chatted to 2 of the 'Rats of Tobruk'. My late Grandfather served in Tobruk. He had explained it as the worst experience of his life.

To me, ANZAC Day is our most important national public holiday to reflect and give thanks for the sacrifices of many that we can enjoy the freedom we do in this country.
