I'm expecting a parking fine soon. Picked up people from the airport the other day and it was busy. The car in front of me went over the pedestrian crossing and since there was a gap in people not walking across I followed. However, they stopped as soon as they went over without pulling into the side-park, popped their boot for the people they were picking up and I was stuck on the pedestrian crossing! The people I was picking up saw me so threw their bags on the back seat and hopped in. Meanwhile along comes a parking inspector so I zipped off as soon as I could, but saw him writing down my number plate in my rear view mirror.
Yep you'll get a letter from the West Torrens council...I used to work at the Airport, and did a favour for a client and dropped their rushed passport into them before they checked in for a flight...I drove the work van in full decal glory parked out the front (loading zone was full due to a coke truck) jumped out ran in got a signature and came back out. The client made the flight with about 5 minutes to spare. Good deed. returned to van to find the nob writing me up. Showed him by AIRPORT ID, my company ID, and asked how he could not recognise the van as belonging to a Airport client, only to be told they have to book everyone ! West Torrens council sent the fine, I contested it, told them the loading zone wasn't big enough etc etc and got off ! I should've just delivered it airside and saved the hassle...
