3 phase ( 3 power wires + 1 neutral ) means the unit draws more power than a single phase ( 1 power wire + 1 neutral ) can carry.

Must be a big unit.

Unless your house is 3 phase wired it won’t work.
Most houses are only single phase

3 phase deals with higher loads better, so if you've got the a/c and a drier and/or pool pump/heater running it'll handle it. Single phase probably wouldn't.

They've obviously thought about the impact on the rest of the house if you leave it on single phase.

What size unit and sort of money you looking at?

Last time I did this was when the house was built over 25 years ago, had to go for 3 phase back then but was easily accommodated as we were able to incorporate into the build. Approx 12kW heating & cooling with about 4.2kW power draw and 10 outlets, I think it set us back about $8,500 back then.

No inverters in the olden days, so not the cheapest to run now, but still works like a charm.

When did taking your dog to Bunnings become a thing?
Went to Mile End and Edwardstown Bunnings on the weekend and I could have been mistaken for being in a pet store.

We all love our dogs but leave them at home when you go to Bunnings please.
