You don't deal with DIT, do you?

God No!

I’d go crazy!

I couldn't say what I think of that department and some key personnel without ending up in court.

Same here, specifically The Hague.

She may have a personal situation that is no-one else’s business and an agreed working arrangement has been put in place … dunno.

There are many plausible reasons.

Anyway, apologies for interrupting the roasting … as you were.

I greatly appreciate the time and effort you took to respond, thank you.

Agree, said the same from the start.

If you are going to take the piss and no one hold you responsible, why wouldn’t you continue to do the same thing

Dunno, having some 'pride' about what you do in your life perhaps? If my employer 'allowed this' in the workplace, I'd leave immediately.

Ayn Rand had this to say on the topic:

"There's nothing of any importance in life—except how well you do your work. Nothing. Only that. Whatever else you are, will come from that. It’s the only measure of human value."

I agree with the sentiment.

I picked up a hire car in Paris, 80m from the Arc, was still getting my head around driving on the wrong side of the car and bam, good luck with this.
I just tailgated the car in front and hoped for the best.
Yes, I did likewise in Paris and negotiated it safely. Was only on dropping the rental car back was I informed that rental cars are “forbidden” on the Arc roundabout and that insurance is null and void if you are in a collision :)

Doesn't help that every Frenchman thinks he's Alain Prost or Pierre Gasly and drives like a maniac through the streets!
