Quiz Forum?

Postby Wedgie » Mon Dec 24, 2007 5:33 pm

Just something we're throwing out there for the users to give feedback on, with all the quiz's going on would people prefer a forum dedicated solely to Quiz's?

Think the quizzes on here are great and well done to Maggies in the 80's who obviously spends time searching the Net for things, definately the way to go having their own spot. I am sure once this is done even more people will be interested and get involved. Only prob may well be if this happens will Magpies in the 80's have time to do it all. I would be more than willing to assist

Voted Yes, but I cold see how this could become a full time job for MIT80's, not just finding the quiz questions but doing the answers. Shold really be upto Maggie unless others are thinking of doing some quizzes.

Could I suggest the proposed Quiz forum, and for that matter Spelly's statistics forum, appear as stand alones on the main page rather than nested as sub-folders?

That way someone who may not want to do a quiz ar check statistics can tell at a glance whether they are up to date with their reading under the other headings.

While there is some logic to Spelly's being under SANFL it does mean you have to open the SANFL folder before you find out it is highlighted because of a new post in the sub-folder you may not want to bother to read if you are not statistically inclined.

I like the Quizzes but now there are so many of them I would prefer to see them in a seperate sub forum.

You see a new post and you think okay what musings are on offer and it is just another answer to one of the quizzes

IMO, happy to concede to the majority if that is the consensus
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I PM'd MIT80's about this and he modestly nixed the idea.
Maybe this will change his mind.

Good points, I suppose at least with the photos forum things aren't added as often as the main SANFL forum so its not an issue there but we're always open up for what people would prefer with the way the forums are set out as its the people that make this site. I think we're always weary about having too many forums but if it makes things easier to browse and keep track of it might be the way to go.
