Agreed. Was there around the time of the commenwealth games in the early 70's. Had a great time, and toured all round the South.

Was in New Zealand three years ago for my honeymoon and had an absolute ball. Toured around both islands.

Went jetboating, walking on Fox Glacier, fishing on the lake in Queenstown, a day trip down to Milford Sound - the only day it rained while we where there. Even snowed one night while staying in Queenstown.

Very beautiful part of the world, saving to go back again for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.

Best holiday I've ever had was in Penang (Malaysia). A great mix of beaches, resorts, food, culture, history and cheap shopping.

Not that I'm likely to go on one anytime soon (honeymoon, that is)

but give me the sights of my own country anyday, the Great Ocean Road, the islands in QLD, the Grampians.. Katherine Gorge National Park, even KI are all great holiday destinations! If I had money and a bus, I'd be gone!

Went to Fiji for my honeymoon and stayed at the Shang ri La 5 star resort which is near Sigatoka. Absolutely brilliant best two weeks of my life it was beautiful everywhere, would definatly go back. Also relativily cheap compared to Vanuata and a couple of other Pacific Island.

As another poster said Maritius is probably the most beautiful place on earth but is EXTREMLY costly but definatly recomened Fiij.

Kim and I went to the Gold Coast.
A South Pacific Cruise would be a great choice, it's the best holiday i've been on.
If you go with a Sth. Pac. cruise pick one that visits Mystery Island and Isle Of Pines.

If you're looking for something more private where noone else will be, take her to a South home game

If you want to do nothing,I mean nothing for a weeks or so and have the $ to spare,Port Douglas.I see that some people could see it as too much, but the weather, the reef the dining and just the relaxing.

There can be times where the beach is crowded, but you feel like you are on your own.
Top spot.

You can go up to the table lands near Cairns, the Daintree or the bar next to the pool.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

agree Boon, we spent 14 days at Palm Cove and Pt Douglas, and did SFA apart from a couple of games of golf and a trip to the reef it was by the pool or beach and drinking....in all seriousness dont plan too much sight seeing for your honeymoon, after the busy weeks leading up to the wedding, you seriously just want to chill out for a while

I go to Port Douglas every year and definitely agree with the two previous posts here. To me, it's absolute paradise on earth, I'm currently looking at some real estate up there.
