My choices would be, in ascending order:
3rd/ Talk-show host (ie, Letterman,Leno etc)
You get to goof around and carry on like a dill.
2nd/ Sportscaster.
You get paid to watch sports. 'Nuff said. [-(
1st/ Playboy photographer
Self explanatory =P~
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

A pilot who flies 747s or the new Airbus 380s would be awesome.

Some sort of video editing job.

Prospect Oval groundsperson could be good too. :)

Otherwise I probably wouldn't mind being an air hostess or a presenter on Getaway or the Great outdoors!

What aspect of journalism did you want? As someone who did that, I never completed the degree, and it didn't matter a jot. If you actually still wanted to do it and had the circumstances to be prepared to start out (ie, you can cope with a cut in pay), organisations like messenger, leader etc hire non-students as mature age if they think they can write, are interested, and motivated and sensible. Let alone all the new media outlets that are springing up.
Media companies churn through so many people you may be surprised how many options are out there if it's what you desperately want to do, if you're prepared not to start as either the replacement for Kerry O'Brien or the new Mike Sheahan.

Definitely sports... is there anything else ?
Once upon a time I would have even stuck my hand up for a bit of commentary but I couldn't see myself doing that now, except maybe a boundary rider or special comments.. but that's very interesting information Rog... cheers.

FC if you wanted to get some practice in on the writing aspect you could always try posting a few game reviews on here during the season. I'm sure there are plenty of people around here who would be willing to give you some sensible feedback (as well as a bit of banter) and you would probably be doing any far-flung Port fans a huge favour too...just a thought :)
