Had a blast yesterday at the show, had my dagwood dog fix for another 12 months. Kids very quiet this morning, another wonderful after effect of a long tiring day out.

Well, I went today for about 6 hours and had a great time. Lots of the things were the same as usual, of course, but I always think that part of the fun is looking forward to that experience once a year. Also, the show has a good atmosphere with crowds happy and enjoying themselves, so I really enjoy it.

I stayed at home with Junior Boon while Mrs.Boon and little Miss Boon went yesterday. Both had a great day without grizzling old Dad to drag around and the only complaint was the $29 to get them both in.

Not going this year - probably to my disdain more than the kids - I love it, being an old farm boy. Unfortunately, or maybe it's fortunate, footy has dominated my time this year. We have brought the kids up on the old "you don't have to spend heaps of money to have a good time" thing.

I reckon since we have gone to 4 school terms from 3, it is quite a shame. As a kid, I used to go to the show everyday, but you can't do that now as it isn't on during the school jolidays.

Went yesterday.

My 3yo daughter was given a flag for free by the bloke at the Advertiser showbag stand.

It was a bloody Adelaide Crows flag  and to make matters worse she loved it, spent the rest of the day running around the house waving the bloody thing all over the place

I will now have to spend a bucketload of clams on Glenelg merchandise to compensate for this...

Funnily enough, I asked if he had a Glenelg flag, and he fessed up to being an old Bays fan...
