Rubbish. Reminds me of exactly what The News did a couple of weeks before it folded. Looks cheap and desperate and getting rid of their distinctive masthead betrays their identity and heritage. Still, maybe it doesn't look so good online - that's where their future is after all.

I agree with you ZZ. Their masthead is their most important asset. I guess the advantage The Advertiser have is that they really don't have any serious competition. The new look does nothing for me. It's a rag, yet I keep on subscribing for home delivery... :?

I read the Herald Sun on Monday, then read the Advertiser on Tuesday and read the exact same article Id read the day before in the Herald Sun.
Can you honestly get lazier journalism than that?
I thought it was crap before but its even worse now.
What I can't work out is that its affiliated with most papers interstate like the Herald Sun yet its so much worse.
An embarassment to this state, they'd be lucky to have 2 or 3 credible journos.

You are aware that News Ltd share stories across their publications....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
