No, somewhere getting towards Kalgoorlie on the Eyre Highway in WA, apparently a car drove into the same hole about 2 weeks later. There was alledgedly plenty of signs up (for over a Kilometre) but no barriers.

BTW, B-Doubles don't run in the states, Aust, and a few smaller versions in NZ only.

So I assume there was a way around this hole, but instead a couple of drivers chose to go through it?

On the RH side of the 3rd pic., there is a temporary dirt by pass behind the utes and trailer.
