Yes thank you for asking Dog_ger... well one is anyway... needed a new dash cluster ..... now $316 poorer.... but very happy with their service, they dropped me off to work and then phoned me every step of the way to let me know what was going on and if I was still happy to go ahead... they have told me that with the honda aerial it will be $140 if mast only is required or $685 if new assembly is needed..... guess if a new assembly is required no radio for me! darn it! thanks for your recommendation Dog_ger much appreciated. :D

Hey Dog_ger Franks is looking at it tomorrow morning.... now My electric arial on my other vehicle wont go down when I turn the car off... i can hear the motor trying to put it both up and down but nothing happens, it just stays rigid.. any ideas with this one?

I have found with the electric ariels that if the motor can be heard working then it is likely that you have bent it on a tree or something and it will not easily slide up and down. Try gently shaping it to as straight as you can and use some Vaseline to lubricate.

thanks for the tip Alaska

I'd support that - I frequently slightly bend mine on trees and it recovers if you straighten it carefully. I've tended to use a silicon spray rather than Vaseline.

Years ago, for another car, I picked up a new wind up antenna cheap from an autopro shop and fitted it myself.
There is not much to it.
