So many people think the laws and rules are for everyone else and they have a God given right to do what ever they want.
Talking on a mobile phone whilst driving is a classic. If I don't see at least 10 people a day talking or texting while they are driving I will go hee for chasy.

It is all about respect for the society.

I know this is a tad off topic, and I know people will whinge, but how come smoking is acceptable while driving if mobiles aren't? Both have the ability to cause a distraction how are cigarettes any different.

Takes at least 1 hand off the wheel to light it, normally one hand off the wheel to hold it at the window and, if it slips from hand into your lap, who has the pain threshold to wait till they have safely pulled over to pull it off their lap?

Just a thought.

off topic but a very fair point!

And a little more slightly off topic, the practise of throwing the butts out the window. Not only is it litter, but it has the potential to start a fire.

I think earlier in this topic the comment about any given car that can reach 150, not just sports cars. Well, I think the more concern would be on how fast a car can reach that speed; I would imagine that's most of the "fun" behind putting oneself and others at risk.
