Its not the fact that we cant, as much as we shouldn't have to, Pubs should be able to open if they want to.

I'd shut all pubs and clubs at 9pm, and allow them till 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
Then I'd police the laws about public drunkenness, if they still exist, and if they don't bring them back.
[You can't be sure you are not addicted to alcohol unless you can go two weeks without giving yourself excuses to "have just one".]

No, I've been to the pccasional one without doing so, but I seemed to be in the minority..
