I know that Bigpond is crap but I don't think that helps you.

I was a BigPuddle customer some years ago. The "helpdesk" always lies and tells you it is your equipment.
I've since been happy with iiNet, and more recently Internode.

Can i just give all u Bigpond customers out there a lil tip iv picked up from the business im in.

Call up after u start payin full price ie after 12 months half price etc>
Get through to disconnections dept>
Ask how long is left on contract because u want to leave due to pricing>
Reluctantly accept the $10-$40 (dependant on plan) discount ul get offered for them to 'save' you!>
Buy me a beer with your savings :)

I did it instead of $69.95 i payed $49.95 for 12GB Liberty 1500/256

Let me know how u go, its in the disconnections team targets to get 'Saves' so they get a customer credit allowance they are free to use on u to keep uwith Bigpond. So its a sure thing
