DESCRIPTION
This is a purified, inactivated, split virion (split virus) vaccine each 0.5 mL of which contains antigens
representative of the following types:
A/Brisbane/59/2007 (IVR-148) (A/Brisbane/59/2007 (H1N1) - like) 15 μg haemagglutinin per dose
A/Uruguay/716/2007 (NYMC X-175C) (A/Brisbane/10/2007 (H3N2) - like) 15 μg haemagglutinin per dose
B/Florida/4/2006 (B/Florida/4/2006 - like) 15 μg haemagglutinin per dose

The good news is that I spoke to a GP friend today and was informed the CSL web site I quoted above is not up to date.
The currently available vaccine does, he says, contain a more recent H1N1 also from Brisbane - a 2008 variant.

Looks like our news people are getting bored with the whole swine flu thing now...no rioting in the streets and probably not nearly a high enough death toll for their liking...top spot today goes to a list of people barred from visiting the UK and then it's just a bit about flu advice leaflets the Gov are having mail-dropped to everyone.

Oh well they tried their best to terrify us but it was about as exciting as the SARS thing

Nah...doubt it Dog_ger...unless you're actually Mexican cos they're still the only ones to have died from it...and the Mexican authorities said yesterday that the outbreak had now peaked over there...even Murdochs Evil Empire (Sky News) have taken it off the top spot on their web site now and it's practically off the page on the BBC.
