Mt Compass pub had their burger in the top 10 in the state a few weeks ago.

The Green Man Inn at Ashton isn't too bad either, but usually fairly heavily booked up.

Having lived there a few years ago I was thoroughly bored of the Loxton Hotel - but as I was in the Riverland for the Sturt game & a few days break, dropped in on Sunday and it was absolutely sensational! Corker schnitty and brilliant as-much-as-you-can-fit-on-a-plate roasts.

Also went to Overland Corner which makes an AMAZING beef and bourbon pie - pity on a weekday the ambience was like a Scooby Doo episode; creaky old house, staff disappearing behind doors, moving eyes staring at you from behind portraits (actually, I may have imagined that last part).
"A no vote from any club means there is some sort of risk involved in our entry into the competition not working," Steven Trigg.

I'm assuming you mean the one at Ashbourne (about 12km short of Meadows on Goolwa - Meadows road) but is definitely a good one.

Thanks for mention of 3 Brothers at Maccy Boon ;)

Winery/Function (can't remember it's exact name) centre at Clarendon - 300m short of pub on left in main street - has superb meals.

Victory Hotel at Sellicks Beach.

with the makeover, it's almost a little too "towny" for my liking. but still a great feed.
