Postby Pup » Thu Dec 06, 2007 12:47 pm

Whats everyone plans over the break. Personally looking forward to the next couple of months. Christmas at home with the family, Boxing day at the cricket, First day of the Adelaide test on the 24th, Fiji for a wedding in early Feb then to Perth for a week holiday with a couple of mates.

Finishing teaching here in Mildura on the 19th. Off for a couple of days in houseboat with my ladyfriend and her family - will be able to celebrate her passing her third year of her Postgrad Medical studies (got results an hour ago). Then, Christmas with the family (lots of Masses), seeing Miss Saigon on New Years Day, returning to Mildura to pack all possessions up ready for my return to Adelaide and commencement at St. Francis de Sales College, Mount Barker. Btw, if anyone has a flat available for renting for next year....? :D

Christmas quiet (getting over the days prior) with the missus, then off to sisters for family day.

Boxing Day - Races with the mates if I can get a leave pass.

New Years, not sure yet, probably at a mates place with drinking games, swimming and a barby.

Christmas at home with the family. We have six kids and four grand kids and they all come to us. Christmas morning me and Mrs JTC will be making breakfast for about 13, followed by dinner, then, settle down in front of a roaring fire whilst the young'uns go sledging in the field across the lane. Boxing day, off to Turf Moor to watch the beloved Clarets. New Years day off to Blackpool to watch Blackpool v Burnley.

In between a trip to Wales to visit rellies and a 2 day party. Plenty of festive nosh, and cheer and a bloody good rest .

If you weren't up late on the computer every night John, you would have more energy!

We are in the 'reduced' year for Christmas this year, the 2 eldest smacs will be at their mothers for the morning, so we will only have 1 smac to start the day, growing to our full compliment after lunch at the in-laws, heading to tea at my folks.

Then there's the bbq on boxing day with family, followed by a trip away to the river for a few days and home for new year.

Looking forward to a rest from work, that's for sure - have to love working in an office that closes every Christmas for 2 weeks.

JTC, yes, it would be good to be able to hand them back at the end of the day (or weekend). I did the right thing and skipped the 'having kids' part and will probably go straight into the 'grandad' role. Complicated story but DW knows what I mean! :)

Trying to keep up with all the posts on here smac. Thought I would do a bit of moderating, as that's what I get paid for  . Not so bad at this time of year, but no chance when the season gets under way.

Wish you guys would stop talking about BBQ's though.
