Has anyone travelled, or attempted to travel with Tiger Airlines ?
The reason i ask is my wife booked us some cheap flights a few months back, to Melbourne, for late August. She was planning to do some shopping

, i was planning to go to the footy

. We have had various emails from Tiger since we booked the flights, changing the flight times by 5-10 minutes each - all ok, we just had to email back an acceptance of the changes. This morning, we got an email changing our departure time by 9 hours, bringing it forward to 10am !!! They cancelled the evening flight, which now means we cant make because of day-time commitments. Their policy is to provide refunds if a flight time is changed by more than 4 hours either way, but the only way to contact them is via phone or mail - they cannot be emailed. So, i have been trying all morning to get through to their call centre, which was continually ringing out until someone finally answered (in an Indian accent !) and, after trying to explain the situation over and over again, he agreed to refund the airfares, minus some fees and within 4-8 weeks !!! Now, the flights were VERY cheap, and to be honest, i only kept ringing and ringing this morning out of principle. But i wonder whether they had no intention of the flight actually departing in the first place, and Tiger probably hope it all gets too hard for people to chase a refund.
I am sure i heard something on ACA or Today Tonight about some problems in other states with Tiger, but i cant remember the details.
