Driving past Colley Reserve today I noticed that the new buet ferries wheel is still standing like an white elephant.
What other white elephants / unfinished project are around?

Marion Domain- over 7 years and still no pool and sign in need of repainting.

Thanks to Mr. Makris (and no thanks to the bloody council & the snobby minority that opposed it), soon to be remedied! :D

Ironically, though I wasn't convinced at the time, I now think Don Dunstan was right. It may well have been better to limit Adelaide's sprawl and start a new well-planned city.

I suspect instead of building Elizabeth in the 1950s, the expeansion should have been centred on Gawler with a green belt between too.

Parliament House is a classic example. Parliament house and that building next to it were supposed to be joined as one (you can see an example of where they were supposed to be joined between the buildings), and there was supposed to be a dome on the top. They ran low on funds when building Parliament House, and these two parts of the building were put on hold, but never eventuated.

The Campbelltown Migrant Monument Museam on Lower North East Road gets my vote, cost 3+ million to create and has been opened to "interested people" all of five times or so since it was completed..... A really good use of council ratepayers and taxpayers funds.

I miss the old airport, it was so much quicker getting off the plane with 2 exits. :(

Anyone here caught a Regional flight with REX from the new terminal? you walk onto the tarmat and then jump in a bus and then travel all the way down the other end of the terminal to get in your tiny plane...unreal

its the other way round Dutchy I think. Use the normal domestic terminal to get on then catch the stupid bus to the old international terminal to get off

All because people are too lazy to walk 800m seriously I did it before they kicked up a fuss about it and it was fine for me

Not unlike the Lufthansa terminals at Frankfurt airport. Who'da thunk that REX was on par with a major European international carrier?
