STEVE IRWIN stung again

STEVE IRWIN stung again

Postby mal » Sat Oct 28, 2006 11:01 am

SBS is likely to air an episode on the SOUTH PARK cartoon show.
The cartoon will depict Irwin at a fancy dress party in hell with
a stingray sticking out of his chest.
The episode is being shown this week in th U.S.

SBS are a f.....g disgrace for even contemplating showing this
pathetic disgraceful episode.
Imagine little BINDI a nine year old kid seeing this moronic episode.

A spokesman for South Park is quoted as saying
" We have offended in the past and probably will again."

To the family and friends of the Irwin's you have my upmost sympathy.

Where is your sense of humour, Mal? To me it is somewhat amusing  , and I don't think Steve would mind if he knew about it.

I doubt that Bindi would be a South Park viewer anyway.

Incidentally, I believe that it was through South Park that most Australians first heard of Steve Irwin. He was already a star in America, but it was only when we saw him on South Park (in the old days when South Park was very popular) that Australians wanted to know who this Crocodile Hunter guy was that the yanks were going on and on about...

Yeah, I was thinking about that too when I read the 'Tiser today. Funny guys, I hope they have the guts to show it. If not, meh, there's always YouTube :)

It's not the fault of SBS, they don't make the ep. it's the makers of the show who do that, so it's their fault.

Just downloaded it and watched it, its really not that bad, basically Satan has a super sweet 16 halloween party, and its a fancy dress party, he is told someone has come dressed as the Crocodile Hunter and some people are offended, Satan then says to the Crocodile Hunter that he only died a few weeks ago and its to soon to dress up as him, then the Crocodile hunter explains it actually is him Steve Irwin, he is then kicked out for not being in fancy dress.
about 20 seconds all up, nothing to major at all.

Nah, she'd probably be out, breathlessly plugging her Bindi the Jungle Girl DVD and doll accessories, whilst parading her Bindi Croc Chic clothing range and chowing down on her Bindi the Jungle Girl Happy Meals all across the malls of the USA. And anyone who wants to so much as suggest she's not doing any of this of her own volition, is un-bloody-Australian!

South Park will no doubt have a ratings bonanza when the episode
is presented by SBS but then if logic prevails will slump ignominously.
I have hated this dispicable cartoon since inception, and if Mr Irwins
death episode sinks this cartoon then some good will become of Mr Irwins death.

Anyone who feels they may be even slightly offended would not be a regular viewer of South Park and therefore lose or gain nothing by (a) not watching, (b) complaining and (c) feeling morale outrage on behalf of other people.

it will be interesting if SBS here will show it. apparantly SBS dont get given the episode until may next year(as said on the news). by then i would think it would be shown and no one would know its on except the regular viewers or unless the media harp on it :D
