What Do You Eat For Breakfast?

Postby therisingblues » Mon Jun 04, 2007 12:43 pm

Having lived overseas for more than 6 years, there are certain things about Australian culture that I miss. I recently ate the Japanese version of Rice Bubbles, and long lost memories of Weet-Bix, CoCo-Pops and Nutri-Grain came flooding back. This got me thinking about what Australians eat for breakfast nowadays.
As for me, I usually eat Berries and Yoghurt. I've had my dear old mum send over Weet-Bix about three times since I have been here though. (Sometimes I walk past a brewery and smell the hops, then I get an overwhelming urge to eat Weet-bix)
What do others eat?
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

You work in an office FC don't you? You belong on a building site with that diet. What's the chances of you having two pies, a bun and a coke for lunch

As for me depends on what I'm doing that day, Work: a cheese & BBQ toasted sandwich (ham if its in the fridge) at uni: usually 2 bits of toast with some jam or honey

Today Golden crumpets and white tea, sometimes melted spicy cheese on toast, sometimes Vegemite on toast - depends on time pressure. I'm not the quickest of the mark in the mornings. On good days Porridge with proper [not synthetic] and organic Maple syrup.

As a teenager I used to have fried Fritz and egg in toasted sandwiches!

3 Wheet Bix and a cup of coffee.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.
