AUSTRALIAS TOP SELLING BEERS 2007
market share
1. 17.2% Victoria Bitter (-2.7%LY)
2. 7.3% XXXX Gold (+15.9%LY)

#1 just goes to show how many beer drinkers have absolutley no taste at all !!
#2 while not great, but still drinkable, other that a dose of food poisoning, nothing else is more garnteed to give you a dose of the shits the next day. Where else in the world would a mid strength taste better and sell more than the full strength equivelant ??

Queensland!
Total beer consumption
43% Midstrength
40% Full strength
11% Premium
6% Light

The next highest for Mid is WA 16% (SA 4%)
Dont have stats for NT, but my personal experience would say it would be very similar to that of Queensland (The only thing keeping full strength so high would be "Green Can Dreamtime"

The best Blonde is Canadian Blonde, preferably brewed & bottled in Sept and ready to drink in January. The Coopers Pale Ale home brew is good but try mixing it with a wheat malt for an interesting change. The Heritage Lager is a top drop as is the Sparkling Ale. Next time you go to Unley, see Tom at the Jovial Monk around the corner in Duthy St. and he'll give you some top advice.

For all you Corona drinkers, think about this one. My wife does not drink beer, however she will drink a Corona, therefore it is not a beer! But if you must try Coopers Mexican Cerveza, it has a lot more flavour.

Cheers r_r. That works out at about £18.00 per carton of 24 (275ml I assume). In UK now special offers are 2 cartons (20 beers per carton) of either Stella, Carlsberg Export, San Miguel, or Beck's. (brewed in Germany and imported), will cost ya around $36, nearly half the price.

No wonder our parks are full of murdering p1ss heads.

Normally 375ml per bottle here jtc although many of the "boutique" beers are now being bottled in 330ml bottles instead with no reduction in price. There is even a thread about that on here:

I gave examples to establish I wasn't always playing safe as you suggested in your first comment my friend.
Then you accuse me of bragging because I point out I don't live a risk free life as you suggested????
Do you always want it both ways?
