Granted, an older article, but it's the first time I'd seen it.

If only Phil knew I now work with a dozen people who have been put in jobs in an aim to effectively use people with autism spectrum disorder concentrating on their abilities not disabilities. Mind you I was never the Aspy Enemy, that was @Dissident
Oh Phil, what a character (and I mean that in a nice way not a way that could prompt any litigation!) ;)

My wife works with children, some of whom are on the spectrum (as they say) and there is indeed a line of thinking that their abilities to focus so intently on one subject matter could be of real benefit to the wider community.

Wonder if he's got his money yet?

If he has, he can come to Norwood (Finn McCools) this Friday nite and see Ganggajang play on their "Circles in the Sand" tour

Yeah we work in an area where attention to detail is an asset and a lot of them thrive at it picking up stuff others may not. Socially they all seem to have settled in quite well, some can be a bit "different" but nothing major. I sit near them at lunch quite often (they prefer to stick together) and some of the conversations are extremely entertaining. Sometimes it's like Sheldon from Big Bang talking to two or three other Sheldon's! One works in my pod and besides humming constantly doesn't seem any different to the rest of us.
Another used to always feel the need to knock on my desk when he walked past it,annoyed the hell out of me. Instead of confronting him I built a wall on the edge of my desk from staplers, water bottles etc and it had the desired effect. When I look at my little man made wall I wonder to myself if it's them with the disability or me!

Supported by hard working local musician Sean Kemp, multi talented singer, drummer and guitarist he always puts on a good show.

A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers. The engineer fumed, "What's with those guys? We must have been waiting for fifteen minutes!"

The doctor chimed in, "I don't know, but I've never seen such inept golf!"

The priest said, "Here comes the green-keeper. Let's have a word with him."

He said, "Hello George, what's wrong with that group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?"

The green-keeper replied, "Oh, yes. That's a group of blind firemen. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime."

The group fell silent for a moment.

The priest said, "That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight."

The doctor said, "Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist colleague and see if there's anything he can do for them."

The engineer said, "Why can't they play at night?"

Gay people love it when you call someone else gay as a derogatory term?
