..life can throw an amazing combination of emotions in such a short space of a time. A great day personally with the Grand Final in many ways, mixed with such sadness and pride as the footy fan in me took over again.

From the City to Colonel Lights Gardens, I walked for no reason. (Google Maps 8.2k), and then back again (another 8.2), because I got too drunk, lost my only friend in town, and had nowhere to sleep.

So at least 16.4k for no good reason... SILLY SILLY BOY!

GWW thinks the Norwood lads were in good form at their Mad Monday when i saw them earlier this afternoon, although I'm not so sure about them encouraging the bloke who was with them to dive into the fountain out the front of the oval (twice).

Yeah, one New Year's Eve a few of us thought it might be a good idea to walk from Glenelg to someone's party up in Seacliff. We would never have done it if we hadn't been tanked. The party wasn't terrific so we decided that we might as well walk home... to Happy Valley. Except five minutes later I fell off the bloody driveway - which for some reason was elevated a good two metres above the front garden - so we had to call a taxi because I bunged up my knee.
