Will you guys give it a rest. I've put on 5 kgs just reading this thread !
If ya get onto desserts could we end up with diabetes ?
My selections:
ALL OVER : Veal Parmys from most Fasta Pasta outlets are OK.
SOUTH : A current favourite is Kway Teow from Kwik Stix near Flinders Medical Centre.
EAST : The NorEast at Holden Hill is pretty generous with serves & value.
WEST : Anything from the Glenelg BBQ is top tucker. A carnivore's paradise.
*Just don't order the GIANT TEXAS T-BONES - They're all mine !!!

Restaurant Tranquilo in Stirling has very good food, you should all get there and try it!!!!

Barramundi Stack - Sliced barramundi fillet with a light coating in Cajun spices. Sautéed in sesame oil and placed on a blanched medley of broccolini, snow peas, beans and capsicum. Accompanied with hollandaise sauce and garnished with kumara chips. $21.50 its very nice

they have a website http://www.tranquilo.com.au

or become there Friend on Facebook (tranquilo Stirling)
I love vegatarian food. It goes great with steak.

some good restaurants in the hills
Chappys in Littlehampton, nice setting and food, typical restaurant fare such as shanks, chicken and steak
Flip Side in Littlehampton, good pizzas but also does chicken and steak
Chingari in Nairne, indian
Maximillians at Verdun, excellent, pricy but good quality and service
Asian Affair in Stirling does good chinese

and I can vouch for the Scenic at Norton Summit, been there and very nice, outstanding views, and my son is an apprentice chef there, book yourself a table on the balcony

assume your talking about the barn it is probably the best restaurant in mclaren vale and im not just saying that cos they are our major sponsor, have been there plenty of times and never had a bad meal and they are always decent size serves, just a tip though dont go too nuts on the tapas cos you'll never eat all the main and then you wont be able to fit in a eton mess for desert, agreed with previous post maybe is a little pricey but you dont care after you have tasted the food, also has a great selection of local wines including the great "clarence hill" and an even better selection of local and imported beers to which if you have one of every beer ( it doesnt have to be in the one night) you become a member of the barn beer barons and get your name up on the wall, there is also something similar for the ladies with the wines
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

Good idea Dogwarcher. Surely at least some GG boys could rock up to provide some ambience. They could form the Kookaburra Bos Choir and sing for Johno's supper.
