Found something online I need and turns out it’s at a cash converters.
Anyone know if the price is fixed or can you haggle with them?
If so what margins do they have on things?

I don’t think I’ve ever bought anything from Cashies.

As a former Cashies employee, I'd say yes, you can haggle. But they're pretty tough. Especially people that've worked there a while.

Also, make sure you have reasons for the price you give them.

They'll probably tell you a few times that its a set price, but they can discount it. The price is basically guess work by some pleb out the back anyway.

Nah I was a casual sales guy. Actually really liked that job. The place was like Swift & Shift, staff wise.

Highlight was when the retail manager wouldnt let an old lady return a broken kettle. She left it on the counter and said "I dont want it. Maybe you can rip someone else off with this". And he proceed to peg the kettle at the wall, where it exploded into pieces, then yelling "I can't f**kin sell it now, can I?"

Ah, the memories.

Also, I was pretty honest, so couldnt do pricing. The amount of people I told to go across the road to Big W and buy something new for less, and with factory warranty, would probably exceed the amount of people I actually sold something to.

I walked in there this morning and they had an Indian employee.
They wanted $99 for it and it was brand new in the box still(online elsewhere they are $169).

I tried haggling but he wouldn’t budge on price.

I got a bargain so I was still happy.
