Good old Keith Martyn.

Don't forget his anchorman foray with Caroline Ainsley (early 90s?) !

Vividly remember Keith telling us to "tie the chooks to the fence tonight, it's going to get breezy", back when everyone knew someone with some chooks.

When he was at channel 10, they tried him as newsreader, from memory that didnt last too long.

He did his job well as a weatherman, but by most reports, wasnt a particularly nice bloke (channel 9's weatherman in the 80s, Barry Pitman could be described in a similar manner)

Wondering why your dear old Grandma used to get so excited about her yearly bus trips with her bowls friends to the NSW Murray area.

Saturday's Sport in the old-format paper - three Shield games that nearly always started on Friday's in a prominent position and poring over these, rather than being almost unfindable these days.

I remember the store.
Was it owned by Paul Western and Paul Belton.
Western and Belton?
This was 20+ years ago.

Wasn't there an Ebert and Weston somewhere in the city? I think I can vaguely recall some news item just before or after the 1981 grand final where Ebert and Weston were profiled as work mates who had to go into combat against one another.

I was thinking Ebert first but then Belton came to mine.
Could have been Ebert(Craig) as I was thinking of a player that played at the Magpies and also West Adelaide.
Both Ebert and Belton fit that mould.
It was upstairs in the arcade as well originally.

Great stuff there, Boonster. The horror-movie theremin based music up to about 1:25 is great, spooky in a cheap piss-weak Aussie horror film type of way. And the staged flight sequence is full of cheese. Why, who's hiding in the propeller-driven plane but Deputy Premier Des Corcoran. G'day Des! G'day Don! Want to take a flight over a dump and some sand dunes? Sure, let's turn it into a suburban paradise!

And the bikini-clad mums frolicking at the beach at the end. Don't mention the cadmium.

There's some other quality state library footage on YouTube about Adelaide, like this 'un:
