Just got through reading the last few pages of this thread...some full on stuff you all are sharing. Hope it's all going well for you all.

The antics of young wankers on end of season footy trips, and I really do mean wankers.

At Ardrossan on Friday afternoon a group of about 20 odd lads in their end of year t-shirts and jocks, no pants on, (I dont get it) were hitting the streets when one young lad drops down, squats and takes a shit on the footpath (I REALLY dont get it) at about 5-5:30pm. Friday night of a long weekend in a popular Yorke Peninsula family holiday spot.

He then proceeds to flick it into one of his shoes and throw it in somebodys front yard.

I've been on footy end of year and cricket end of year trips, golf trips with mates etc and never have felt compelled to strip down, wear womes clothes, shit in the street and so on. What is it with young lads?

Due to drink driving laws and the cost of buying drinks in a pub, the parents are staying home to get drunk. This deprives youngsters of much needed time alone in the house or with mates to raid Dad and Mum's booze supply.

Due to facebook the chances of holding a successful sneak party on the sly without your street turning into Belfast 1974 and more Police than the Manson crime scene are also minimal.

Reduced opportunity to hit the turps means your average youngster can't handle their piss the way the way we did, so they act like complete and utter tools.

286 laps of pretty much nothing, but remember it is.......

I used to think the same thing, but when I actually sat down and watched it, I was amazed at the strategy that went into it. Still doesn't compare to circuit racing, but I can still watch it. Never the whole race though.

I've never been able to get into any motor sports, but I can appreciate the skills (in terms of endurance, stamina, strategy etc) that the participants have to have to make a go of it.

I can't get into NASCAR at all, love IndyCar though. Oval racing in IndyCar is great to watch
