OK lets dig deeper...

Carlton in 2003 got Pick 2 from AFL, after 7 wins in 2 years, the previous 2 years they won 30 out of 44 games and made finals in both years.

In 2004 they win 10 games, yet in 2005 they get Pick 1 (Marc Murphy) and 2007 another Pick 1 (Matt Kruezer)

Thats 2 #1 picks and a pick #2 in 5 years and people are losing their minds over us getting #19 & #20????

2009 Melbourne got #1 by having a better period than we have had.

I could go on

Apologies, that came off wrong. Was more thinking the TV stations now needing to fill in time instead of working out who will win.

Really sorry @wedgie. I really didn’t mean to offend

All good mate, sorry too, I'm in a mood to overreact and probably should stay off social media.
Thank christ I'm off on holidays tomorrow.

You have nothing to be sorry for at all, you had every right to question me.

I was going to PM you rather than put it on here but I wanted to be open to all that my apology is genuine

Wedgie's reaction is why this debacle should never have happened, no winners here. I feel this could derail one of the best places to live on earth.

Fair call, I was concerned when the referendum was first proposed it would create more divisiveness as it was never a chance to get up.
Any referendum needs bipartisan support and it was arrogant of the Albanese government to not ensure that was shored up first before proceeding.

I have 3 kids in adult or teen years and the message is getting through, they were a bit disgusted in me when I said I wasn’t sure which way I'd vote. The best thing we can do imo is teach compulsory education about the wrongs that happened to ensure it never happens again.

One good thing about the referendum is that regardless of individual beliefs and regardless of the reult, it has brought certain issues into public consciousness and seen them discussed.

... and democracy sausages. Don't forget the democracy sausages.
