Carlton in 2003 got Pick 2 from AFL, after 7 wins in 2 years, the previous 2 years they won 30 out of 44 games and made finals in both years.

In 2004 they win 10 games, yet in 2005 they get Pick 1 (Marc Murphy) and 2007 another Pick 1 (Matt Kruezer)

Thats 2 #1 picks and a pick #2 in 5 years and people are losing their minds over us getting #19 & #20????

2009 Melbourne got #1 by having a better period than we have had.

I could go on

"Draft picks do not maketh the team"

Anyway, I'm happy for North to get pick 3 and I'm a Carlton fan (last I checked).

I still think the AFL who gave us sanctions in 2002 where we missed out on Goddard or Daniel Wells, went easy on us in 2003 - hence the odd looking stat above.

Those other years, we finished 16th in 2005, 16th in 2006 and 15th in 2007. Pretty much the same as North in the last three years - apart from it being an 18 team comp.

Lets not forget Pick 3 isn't a priority pick, ours were 18 & 19 - compared to other clubs like Carlton who got them in the top 3

Kmart has been forced to pull a new Christmas buy from stores across Australia following backlash from the Jewish community.

The Australian Jewish Association took aim at the retail giant over the release of its $4 Christmas “ham bag”, which features the slogan “Merry Ham-Mas.”

I would never have made the connection either. Surely more attention has been drawn to it now than would have otherwise?

AFL making a big song and dance about the fixture release today and then releasing the 2023 fixtures before realising their mistake and taking it down.
Dare say the work experience kid will cop it :)
