Well....4.55pm, no sign of Johnno.
Seems things would be going well.
Has he found out another use for some of the wilderness around the Summit?

well...................
it would seem that i may have accidently taken her to mt barker summit, not mt lofty summit....... so as i drive up there we realise its a lookout and she is thinkin she is on the menu like the main meal is muff burger with fanny pie for dessert or something....
i got there at 2 which my reservation was, so theres no chance of me making it to mt lofty summit in time..
i was devestated, embarrassed, shocked..
so we ended up going to echunga hagen arms pub or something...
it was a real good meal... but noodles would of been when ya go for a three hour drive and ya lost etc.
last year for our 1 year anniversary the misses was in hospital... so were not having much luck

Bad luck Johnno, but how did you end up at Mt Barker. There are a lot of big green signs on the freeway saying,

Mt Lofty Summit

Bad luck Johnno, at least you tried mate and tootling around the hills wouldn't have been such a bad day.

At least your girl didn't walk into a window on your anniversary.
Mrs DW did that in Clare and we spent the rest of our romantic getaway trying to difuse the glares coming from people who thought I'd hit my missus!

for some unknown reason i thought it was mt barker summit...
but no that was a lookout.
last year at this time the misses was in hospital becuase she just had her tonsils out n wisdom teeth. and then she had extra bleeding from gums after wards and was throwing up blood, threw it up on my arm etc...

that was alot worse than this year
the pub was dead as tho.. real good meal i highly recomend it

The Mount Barker summit is about 10 times harder than mount lofty summit to find. It's got a lookout and a fire report station on top that the cfs use. Johnno's done well to find it!

Although it sounds like you had a great meal and good time anyway... so it doesn't really matter that you ended up at the wrong place... buuutttt...why not surprise her and make a booking 'for no real reason' and take her to the correct location sometime in the near future.

You could just say you are 'going for a drive' one weekend... and turn up there.

O:)
