If I want to see pissed up ocker wankers on a footy trip I can go to any regional centre in October/November or the Gold Coast.

Having said that, it's probably cheaper to go to Bali and see them than any centre or the Coast strip.

I've done Thailand ( well out of Phuket ) and if and when I go to Bali ( Mrs. Boon is onto it ) I can't see me anywhere near Kuta or anyother Aussie hotspot.

I am looking into Vietnam later this year though....different beast again.

A mate went to Bali last year and was miles from Kuta.
Having not been I had no one idea where he was but the Mrs informed me he was in the middle of nowhere.
He loved it.

The first time I went to Bali we stayed in Lovina on the north coast. No Aussies in that joint.

I've wanted to go there for as long as I can remember. Got some friends over there at the moment (actually they've just shifted to Cambodia) and they're updating everyone via Pic's and stories on FB and the place looks as awesome as I'd always imagined.

I'll be looking to do Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos in the middle of the year. For me it's about experiencing vastly different cultures, eating every local food I can get my hands on (even the scorpions etc), consuming lots of local beverages and most importantly getting some much needed warmth through the middle of our winter.

I rate Australias gun laws.....

Because if they weren't in place, I'd be really close to undertaking Australia's first workplace massacre i reckon....
