tipper is correct

"If you are a close contact and do not live with someone who has tested positive, or you can appropriately quarantine away from the positive case, you must follow the below advice for close contacts:

immediately quarantine for 7 days since you saw the positive case
get a COVID-19 test immediately
get a COVID-19 test again on day 6 after exposure (a negative day 6 test is required to be released from quarantine)
get a COVID-19 test again immediately if symptoms develop
not attend high risk settings or COVID Management Plan events for 14 days after exposure
wear a surgical mask when around others
avoid contact with vulnerable people (young children, elderly, pregnant, people with chronic health conditions), avoid non-essential activities, avoid working across worksites and avoid shared spaces and maintain physical distancing on days 8 to 14 after exposure.
"

Sweet thanks,

Ah that's shit. It's very hit and miss virus. Some people will get it and from my experience will definitely feel it.

One our 2 kids started off down and then went down hill. I copped it a bit but I'm and weak as water anyway.

The other kid, we I had to get him to slow down and just take it easy. He hasn't missed a beat.

It has a different feel to a normal head cold and I can see how if it gets to vulnerable people could have them in trouble. 2 nights ago I had some issues with my chest and breathing was a bit odd. It was sold but just a bit odd, hard to explain.

Anyway, experience is the best teacher and I feel I have learnt a bit from getting it an feeling the effects from it.

Looks like everyone else in the house has symptoms now and the RAts are all over the place. Went and got a PCR done just to be sure but likely we all have it here now.

Mine has turned out as a bad head cold, the kids are running and jumping around he house kicking balls around.

Just to add to this now. One kid has gone down hill but the other one is fine. Has a temp and is a bit rough now. Other one is in the back yard kicking a footy around.

Friends of ours also have it and the kids as well and they have no symptoms at all.

I guess the flu affects people differently.

Anyone near the Port Adelaide/Semaphore area seen any RAT tests available at supermarkets or chemists? I'm meant to be using them before flying back over to the EP for work, but got caught in my own family bubble world and forgot to look into it earlier

Yeah mate, only hit the one of us and she lives with her partner, she was bed ridden for a couple of days but seems on the mend. He dodged a bullet, flew out for work Monday so he got avoid playing maid and listening to her.

Me on the other hand, she asked if I could do her shopping and deliver it to her yesterday, that was horrible, a Coles man trying to shop in Woolies and locate all the shit that she gets, sheesh.

How's things going in the stan residence?

The easiest thing to negate that is ordering online and arranging for direct to boot collection. They do all the hard work and bring the trolley to your car.

Yeah mate, she tried to but couldn't get a timeslot when needed, so basically she sent me a shitload of screenshots of her click and collect for me to go buy, she was overdue for a round of shopping when she got ill.

I've told her to order Thursday this week so I can collect Saturday morning.

Ok at the moment. As I said before 1 kid is fine and the other is a bit unwell with a. Temp. Me and missus have gotten through it well enough.

I reckon the virus will have been and gone and the struggle will be with the iso. Especially for the young fella as he's just itching to get out.

Good luck!

Mrs Boon's OHSC had a positive there last week, that's turned into 7 kids and 2 staff since Friday. Schools are going to be a shit show.
