They told members not to come in before noon, however I suspect a lot of old people either aren't members, or didn't read the communication, or read it and forgot and arrived anyway, so were forced to wait in a line until it opened.

A bit of a pick of some brains here, I've had a plan in place for a few years to wait for my son to turn 18 then I was going to move to one of our Queensland plants.

But once again my name has been thrown around for a significant role, this time for role in a brand new plant in Victoria, I have until the 28th to apply.

Of course it's going to be a while I assume before I can physically work there (which would be a huge bonus for me), can anyone brief me what it's like to live away from family? I'm comfortable in my own company and don't need people around me to function as a person.

My marriage is already shagged and I have little interest in flogging a dead horse, the distance might even rejuvenate it and rid it of the debris that ruined it.

Update.

Had a follow up webex interview, seemed to go pretty well and I still had hope.

I just found out that I got down to the final two but missed out.

Despite the sense of failure I have, I was most impressed with their follow up and encouragement, they urged me to jump at any future roles that may interest me nationwide and they will alert me when any roles open up.

At the end of the day there was going to be plenty of hoops to jump through, approximately $150K PA would've seen me take a leap though.

That makes sense, Cheers. My initial thought was a promotion of some sort as Wedgie said, but surely in these times they wouldn't be doing something that would attract a crowd like that.
