BTW, some of the Benz supporters definately are not bogan

GWW wrote:It means that there appears to be an assumption that because I follow Port I'm a bogan.
By that reasoning, because I follow Adelaide United I also march in groups of 50 people chanting nonsensical rubbish, and carry on like a lunatic when Melbourne Victory are in town.

and for the record, it is fair to assume that you behave like that as an adelaide united fan, but you forgot to mention the flares

Yep, I passed plenty of bogans on my walk home the other night.
On a more serious note, it would be interesting to know what type of influence this car race has on driver attitudes/road safety, around the city in the weeks leading up to, and after the event.

tipper wrote:i havent noticed any better/worse driver behaviour lately, or any other year around the clipsal. not that my observations count for anything. i dare say it would be hard to judge either way. if police issued more expiations was it because of clipsal or was it because there were more police "on the beat" due to mad march in general etc...
edit: after a quick google, it seems march is the worst month for crashes on the roads, but according to the article it is due to increased traffic (and traffic restrictions)

of course, some of the comments are blaming "hooning" for the increase, but the article itself doesnt seem to suggest that.
