6 beers and 5 Jacks a day, solid numbers and yeah, might have needed a day or two off.

Yeah not great, too easy when away and relaxed, put on 4kg's in a flash, have lost them again thankfully and got a couple of big bike rides coming up, every kg I can take off will make the rides much more enjoyable!

The bupa challengy thingy before the main TDU starts??

nah my bike is 10 years old and Im well over 100 Ken Cunningham's so I don;t really fit in with the normal cycling crowd, having bad knees its about the only exercise I can do and doing these rides gives me motivation to get out on the bike

We went for a ride last night and as I was approaching a bridge there seemed to be a path that descended towards it, as I got about a foot away I realised it was a set of steep rocky stairs about a 1.5M drop, I had to commit, it was too late to do anything about it, how the hell I came out unscathed bewildered the missus, a couple walking their dog, a dude waking with his kid and myself, it was friggin scary.

You know what?

I rate the **** out of the fact that if one of our fellow posters (or their family) is in need of a hand, there's always someone there to help.

As much as we all talk shit on here, it makes me proud knowing that I'm a small part of this community.

Absolutely, we can talk to family, friends or work colleagues, we can post shit on facebook where fake friends can snigger to each other and quite often only scour facebook hoping people fail.

Enter the forum where there's a bunch of people just wanting to get through the day without killing anyone, it's a close knit group when the chips are down for a fellow comrade, it certainly gets me through most days.

I'd be lost without the forum, that's for sure.
