Reminds me when I was at the Woolworths service deli earlier this year waiting to be served. I was trying to work out what I needed when a bloke came up to me swearing that I should stop perving on his girlfriend. Didn't even know she was there so wasn't looking at her, she wasn't worth looking at. Wanted to take me outside and teach me a lesson. All I did was laugh in his face, walked off as the two of them were in a screaming match.

Nah...I had my work uniform on otherwise I could've been a fair chance..lol no damage done to me was just surprised ssomeone would even do that.

Clearly she was either on drugs or a "patient" of some description.

ive walked in to someone walking around slashing their wrists with razor blades that they opened in the store. That's as much I have ever seen in a supermarket.

The Crispello ad.

I'm not sure why it gives me the shits - but it just does.

So many commercials give me the shits, it's not funny.

My least favourite is the "It's not a car, it's an Alfa Romeo" commercial. Well, they can take their Alfa Romeo and **** right off, in my opinion.

That one irritates me too.
I once had an Alfa (GTV6 in the 1980s) and it handled well after I'd upgraded its brakes and shockers.
But they are not exceptional among the other European competition.

The more recent Brera didn't look bad, but didn't induce me to buy another.
(The GTV's 5 year anti-corrosion warranty just meant they cleaned up the recurring rust for the first 5 years.)

I know I've probably mentioned this before, but I hate those Rhonda and Ketut commercials. I don't find them funny, and I think their flogging a dead horse.

Speaking of flogging a dead horse, but I can't stand those RAA commercials with George Kapiniaris and Trevor. If I was Trevor, I'd have knocked the bloke out years ago.

That "Not happy, Jan" commercial was a stinker too.

The Rhonda commercials were driven (ha) out of social media. They weren't mean to be that popular, and the accidental sexual tension in the first ad caused them to jump on it, and make more and more.

As for the RAA adverts, well as Ricky Gervais said, contrary to popular belief, the lowest form of wit isn't sarcasm - it's the pun

I wish I worked in advertising
I hate 99% of ads on tv and radio and I think I could do a better job.

they get paid a shit load of cash to come up with a shitload of shit loaded ads

WHAT? NOT. HAPPY.JAN was an all time classic!

Rhonda and Ketut are annoying.

Can't comment on the RAA commercials - I need my job ;)

Ads in general back in the day were a lot more clever than they are now. There are ads from 30 years ago i can still remember word for word (ie; Mr Matey) cos they were that clever.

Now? Pfft!

With all due respect, Mr Matey was hardly clever advertising.

The "Not happy, Jan" commercials were annoying to me, because all the popular kids in my grade in school were forever saying it. That kind of shit gets old very quickly...

You're right though, about ads being more clever back in the day. I think my all-time favourite was that RSPCA commerical, with the wombat.

YES! great ad.(and still being shown today)

If people are still quoting ads 30 years later, it's bloody clever.

As much as I hate banks but the Dollarmite ads and "Which Bank?" were also genius advertising.

Bugger.

I was a Dollarmite when I started school! I had my own little bank book, and my teacher would collect them once a week. I think my mum still has my old bank book around her place somewhere. Those were the days...

Speaking of Ads, I reckon Salada should come out with a new biscuit specifically designed to go with a Coffee. Call it Cino Salada. Then market it to the "Pina Colada Song". Instant winner!
