My bloody car shit it’s self this morning!!!! Parked the car out the front of the workshop so I can go clock on tthen park the car. Do it every Friday! Went to go park and the bloody car wouldn’t budge! Spewing!!! Then i thought i was a raa member, so i called the missus to make sure at 630am, she's come of 6-2am shift, so my good day continued. Wasn't a member after all that. so went to raa website and joined myself (premium membership) and the wife up (the onebelow premium), so almost $300 forked out already, then i call the raa to get someone to come see the car!!! I didn't read the diclaimer and got told i had to fork out another $111 for some gap... Called the wife back and let her know the cost, yep, day just keeps getting better. Then after all that i thought i'd try and start the car, just for something to do.... STARTED BLOODY FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . Called raa back to cancel and they said they'd refund the $111, which was a positive! Called the wife back to give her the good news, still obviously seething about the cash spent.... IT'S NOT EVEN 9am YET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nah, it's in the T&C's, there's a waiting period when you join - just like health insurance (except it's not 2 months..LOL)

At least you got it back though. They're pretty good like that.

Try taking out household insurance after something happens you want to make a claim for - they won't even let you pay an extra fee for immediate cover.
It's to do with discouraging the spongers who don't join up until they want to make a claim and thus push up total costs and everyone's premiums - health insurance works the same way...

"T&C's" - Like anyone EVER reads all of that.

Even banks dont read the T&Cs.

I read about a Russian bloke that got his loan policy in the mail, had to sign it and send it back. He got to the part of the fine print that outlined the interest rate, and used white-out to cover the banks terms. Then he wrote a big ol' zero, signed it and sent it back.

When the bank took him to court for not paying the interest they said he owed them, the court requested the banks copy of the loan contract. Sure enough, their copy that they had signed, said 0% interest in the T&Cs. They were caught totally unaware, and lost the case because they "agreed" to the terms.

I think he's now suing them for something, and they're also trying to get another decision from a different court.

Why does the Premium cover only include 50m free towing when the Plus cover includes 20kms?

well i joined online today... no problems at al.

i needed assistants this morning, but it started after booking the job. cancelled the job and got back my 111 bucks.

You missed the point - it's not that it doesn't allow you to - it's that you're not eligible to.

Perhaps it's not clear enough and I can feed that back too.
