Like your good self, FC, I spend a fair bit of time on the phone during my working day.

I and the others in my office now simply say (be it a customer or supplier) "I must interupt here and ask that we continue this conversation when you have finished the food you are currently eating. Please call me back when you have finished"

I will not stand (actually, sit) for it.

The use of Twitter comments as padding in stories.

This one on the Verema death didn't even point out the fact the person posting the comment was wrong.

"Can we stop using the term "euthanised" for sad situations like Verema's? The whole point of euthanasia is that it's voluntary!"

Lazy reporting, if I want to be bombarded with useless information and opinions I have SAFOOTY.net ;)

So if you're approaching a red traffic light I presume you don't stop if you don't think there's anyone around?

The speed limit signs are doing their job too.

Perhaps the road sign could teach the road workers how to do their jobs.

When the media refer to people, especially public servants, who earn over $100k as fat cats.

My ex is a bit plump and had a bit of a cat food smell about her though.
Would Humphrey B Bears be better?

When people come up to my desk to ask me to do something, and start the conversation with "You're not doing anything..."

I've had two people say that to me today. That just makes me annoyed, so I tell them I actually am doing something, and unfortunately they're going to have to wait.

If they start the conversation with "could you please do this for me" or something polite to that effect, I always drop what Im doing to help everyone.

I knew as soon as I wrote that that you would have a smart arse comment

Not gonna lie though, there has been times where I have made someone wait for safooty.

In my defense, the head honcho knows how often Im on here, and he's fine with it as long as my work gets done.
