Went to the Western suburbs today for a day out

First stop INVESTIGATOR SCIENCE at Regency Park
Its a great place only one thing wrong a sign said it was closed December 2006 :oops:

Second stop the Enfield museum at Sunnybrook Regency Park
Was open today but no one there, we entered unsuprvised and looked around for about 15 minutes
ADULT RATING 6-8 I was content, lotsa history
CHILD RATING 3-0 feMALe didnt get enthused at all

Third stop Arndale Shopping Centre
Very multi cultural these days, did some shopping
ADULT RATING 7-0 was ok, some interesting shops
CHILD RATING 7-3 she liked looking in toy shops

Fourth stop
Brocas Museum at Woodville
Not open, in the yellow pages, wasted our effort, we were in the area so dropped in

Went home, bit of a wasted day

MIGRANT MUSEUM ...Adelaide
MARITIME MUSEUM... Port Adelaide
ROCKING HORSE + ANImalS ...Birdwood
ST KILDA PLAYGROUND ...St Kilda
ADELAIDE ZOO...Adelaide

They are all good places to visit, but we have been to all of them several times

Yep,make a list.

2 Cuttle fish each.3 coloured shells,etc.etc.If they are old enough to write,get them to do the list.Just be careful,you tend to walk further when looking around for goodies.
And no,there are hardly ever any $2 coins on the beach. :lol:

-Glenelg Beach-house (they have a couple lock-in sessions everyday), costs a fair bit but kids love it
-St Kilda playground
-Port River Dolphin cruise (apparently very cheap) and a walk around the Port markets
-Marion movie theatre and shops
-Monarto Zoo
-Go karting

catch the tram from the city to glenelg... spend the day there... then back on the tram
i don't feel like dancin'...

the above is for a great day out for any kid over the age of 4 or 5. the cost is very minimal it cost me $33 (got $6 back when returned the cars) for me and 2 kids to go for as long as we liked. great fun and very worthwhile day out.

A lot of public libraries also run school holiday programs full of lots of craft based activities.
A Bulldog in winter; a WTDCC Eagle and OICC Wolf in Summer!

A trip down the Port River, $2.50 dolphin Cruise unbeatable value.
Crabin' down Marino Rocks, Fish 'n' Chips on the Rocks.
Painting your gutters / eaves , if you don't need your done send the kids over - I'll supply the paint and brushes!!! :)
Shed clear out - one my dad used to get me to do. :roll:
Overnight camping out under stars- Yorkes, Browns Beach- can also go for surf / fishing / hikes
