How funny was the policeman...surprised they got away with some of his lines.
Always preferred Allo Allo to Dad's Army which gets endless repeats here.

What was that British comedy that always referred to the 'Sambo next door'?
I reckon Nig Nog might've been used too.
Love thy neighbour.
Very funny show.

a couple of classic moments, when the band break into the theme from Hawaii Five O when the American ambassador walks in and it was supposed to be the National Anthem
and when the security guard Rudy thinks he is talking to Neil Armstrong on the moon on his walkie talkie
Way ahead of ya gdb![]()
The Dish has been on tv here quite a few times now...another favourite.
Love the way that poor bugger in uniform is always trying to tap off with the mayors daughter...and the guy from 'Men in Black 2' who plays the Yank liaison guy who's baffled by the laid back Aussie culture.

Hey Dad! wasn't a classic as such, but still gave plenty of familiar lines..."Pencils ready, commence", "..but I'm only a little kid"...

Jack Smethurst I think ?
Also, the guy who played the "NigNog" has gone on to do many comedies. He is the black copper in The Thin Blue Line with Rowan Atkinson. Don't know if you ever got that prog down there though.

They were a bit like a Brit version of the 3 stooges. Probably 1920;s or 30's ish.
Oh Oh and what about Harold Lloyd. Silent movie gut that did some incredible comedy stunts.
