Ferals' car of choice

I have recently had the immense pleasure of having my boss' Volkswagen Passat Station Wagon for a week or so.

I can see why people make the step to Euro if finances permit. 3.5l V6,constant AWD,grip, power and tuned to puuuuuurfection.

A family wagon with full leather, all options and push button gizmo's and 0-100 in under 7 sec. The main difference between this and top of the line Ford/Holdens I have driven is the grip, exceptional grip.

Im a Ford man,I like the look of Holdens but when $$ permit I will be looking Euro I think, those crazy Germans... 8)

Yes, that's why the last car I bought was a 7 year old Audi S series - now 12 years old and doing fine. Service once a year, and not much goes wrong.
I may trade up to a 2003 model soon. It is easy to get hooked on real quality.
Just don't buy Italian...

As far as new full size family cars go I think Chrysler are easilly the best! Ford-Holden all look the same, yet actual body styling like this remains unmatched for this size car. 8)

Looks tough, but the yanks still build cars with the same quality control Australia had in the 70's, they have a long way to go yet, may as well buy a CL Valiant, XC Falcon or HX Kingswood.

i must admit i have a lazer for a work bus, they are trying to lift the profile of the areas surrounding the port. up here it is the whyalla lazer they are everywhere i think they all come up here to die. you dont want a real flash car to site out on the onesteel site so old small cars are popular for work cars and have a good family car

For bosy styling, I agree. The Chrysler 300C is a bloody good looking car.

However, apparently it's a piece of turd to drive unless you're going in a striaght line everywhere.
