I do the train line thing too, especially when travelling to footy.
I do it out of a habit that formed about 10 years ago when I used to sail at Brighton & Seacliff Yacht Club. When travelling to the club on Saturdays with some mates, we used to lift our legs when we went over the train line on Wheatland St at Seacliff. It was explained to me by the mate that introduced it, that it was good luck for the race, eg no gear breaking or not getting smashed on the head by the boom etc!!!

I also wear no jocks when I play footy. I used to wear bike pants but they got ripped apart. Had no jocks on and haven't worn them ever since.
When I get dressed in the morning jocks, pants, socks then shoes go on before I put on my shirt.
I'm not really superstitious - it's just habit that I do these things.

Is it only as a passenger you do it, or does it apply even if you're the driver?
The way this week has turned out so far, I hope the old "Things happen in 3's" is a crock of shite!!

My OCD quirk is the volume level in my car can only be an even number unless it is a multiple of five.
